Norwich Healing Centre

How does healing work?
Healing is a natural energy therapy. It works on every level, not just the "physical" but the "whole" person - mind, body and spirit. The healer is able to channel these healing energies by 'attunement', for the benefit of the recipient. Healing therapies re-energise, re-balance and relax the recipient enabling their own natural resources to deal with stress, illness or injury.
Can healing do any harm?
No - There are rare occasions when the client may "feel worse" before improving, but this is often a significant part of the healing process, signaling a release of stress which may have gone unrecognised. Healing can safely be given to everyone, including children, infants and the elderly.
Is it necessary to have "faith"?
No - This is a question often asked about healing therapies. The healing offered at the Norwich Healing Centre is not associated with any religion, -ism or -ology. It is not necessary to have faith other than a trust in the healer and an openness to the process and the resulting effects of the treatment.
Can healing be given to animals?
Yes animals can be treated, and they can benefit from healing therapies. However, it is necessary for any sick animal to have been seen by a veterinary surgeon before healing can be given.
Shouldn't "Healing" be given freely?
Like other practising complementary therapists, certified and registered practitioners of 'Healing' therapies have undertaken approved training, have membership of regulatory and professional organisations and hold professional indemnity insurance. There is a substantial cost involved in attaining this level of training, knowledge, commitment and responsibility.
Once qualified, many healers give their time to helping others as their profession, with continued on-going training and advancement of their professional and personal development to enhance and compliment the therapies they offer. Many healers however also offer a portion of their time on a voluntary basis.
Do I still need to see my doctor if I am using complementary therapies?
Yes - Complementary therapies are not an alternative to conventional medicine, they are complementary to it. You should therefore always consult your GP about any acute or infectious conditions, problems of an urgent nature or health issues that cause you concern.
